Repair & Overhaul

Watch overhaul: transparency, precision, and traceability

A watch overhaul shouldn't just be about getting your watch back with a simple invoice.

At Atelier Sanders, I wanted to go further by offering an approach based on transparency and traceability for every intervention.

Each overhaul is thus accompanied by an individual NFC card, allowing the owner to track the detailed history of the work performed on their watch.

A complete overhaul of your movement

Over time, the oils in a watch movement degrade, components can become fouled, and certain mechanical parts wear out.

An overhaul allows for checking the movement, cleaning its components, identifying any worn parts, and restoring its proper functioning.

Depending on the watch and its condition, the intervention notably includes disassembling the movement, cleaning it, reassembling it, lubricating it, adjusting it, and various functional checks.

But at Atelier Sanders, I believe it is also important that you can understand what was actually done to your watch.

An NFC card for each overhaul

At the end of the intervention, an NFC card dedicated to your watch is given to you.

Simply hold your smartphone near the card to access the digital file associated with your overhaul.

This allows you to find information about the intervention and keep a real record of the maintenance performed.

Discover the inside of your watch

One of the main advantages of this system is being able to show you what you usually never see.

Detailed photographs of the movement and the intervention can be included in your watch's file.

When a part shows wear requiring replacement, it can also be photographed.

This allows you to visualize its condition and understand why its replacement was necessary.

Not just a line on an invoice: you actually see the part concerned.

Rare transparency in watch maintenance

When a watch is entrusted to a workshop, much of the work performed remains invisible.

The movement is closed, and the client must naturally trust the professional who intervened.

At Atelier Sanders, I wanted to bring more transparency to this relationship.

The NFC card and the photographic file allow for documenting the intervention and making accessible part of the work performed inside your watch.

You know what was checked, what required intervention, and, when necessary, which parts were replaced.

A history that accompanies your watch

The NFC card also allows for keeping a record of your timepiece's maintenance.

This traceability is particularly interesting for a watch intended to be kept for several years, passed down, or potentially resold.

It constitutes a true digital service book, easily accessible from a smartphone.

Your watch's maintenance no longer relies solely on an invoice kept in a file: its intervention has its own history.

Entrust your watch to Atelier Sanders

Modern watches, vintage watches, or pieces you are particularly attached to: every overhaul is performed with the same high standards.

My objective is twofold: to ensure the proper mechanical functioning of your watch and to offer you clear visibility into the work performed.

With the Atelier Sanders NFC card, the overhaul becomes a documented, traceable, and transparent intervention.

Your watch has a story. Its maintenance deserves to be documented as well.
